Our first week in K2
Dear Turtle Class Families,
Welcome to our first Turtle Class blog! We have had a wonderful first week together in class. We have enjoyed playing together, learning our new routines in K2, and introducing our families to each other too. If you have yet to share your family photographs we would be grateful if you could upload them into the following photo albums:
Our learning so far...
We have had a lovely week of getting to know one another and learning the names of our friends and teachers in the Turtle Class. We have also enjoyed sharing our family photographs and making some comparisons with the number of family members in each of our families! From these discussions we also explored how our Turtle Class is also like a family and enjoyed reading the story, "Our Class is a Family", written by Shannon Olsen.
Coming up...
- Next week, we will begin our PE lessons on Monday, so please ensure your child is wearing comfortable trainers that day.
- Our first Chinese class will begin on Wednesday next week with Joey Laoshi.
- We will begin borrowing books on Monday 2nd Septemeber and please note that we have most of the children's library bookbags stored in the classroom.
- I will be emailing you a playdate list which contains your personal details so that you can connect with other families in the Turtle Class. Please let me know if any details are incorrect so we can make adjustments. Please feel free to invite new families to join any Class WhatsApp groups too!
Friendly reminders...
- Please remember to pack your child's school cardigan inside of their school bag so that they can wear it if they feel cold with the air conditioning on the school bus or in school.
- We will be making playdough in class next week, so please pack a small plastic container labelled with your child's name so that they can bring some playdough if they wish to do so.
