Chinese--Exciting Christmas Activities in Class
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
I would like to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for your continued support of your child's Chinese learning.
Over the past few weeks, we have concluded our unit on How the World Works. Through the stories "如果我是建筑设计师“ (If I Built a House) and ”如果我是学校设计师“ (If I Built a School), the children explored various creative design ideas. Inspired by these narratives, they applied their knowledge of shapes to design their own unique houses and schools, showcasing their imagination and creativity.
With Christmas approaching, we have embraced the festive spirit. Through the stories "大卫,圣诞节到啦“ (It's Christmas, David) and “很忙很忙的圣诞老公公” (Very Busy Santa Claus), we learned important vocabulary related to this special celebration, including Santa (圣诞老人), Christmas tree (圣诞树), present (礼物), and bells (铃).
The children have also been busy crafting paper straw Christmas trees and wood chip baubles, which have certainly added to the festive fun in our classroom.
During the Chinese assembly, we read the story "100个耶诞老公公“ (100 Santa Clauses), which helped reinforce key language concepts in an enjoyable way.
Additionally, the children loved singing the song "我们祝你圣诞快乐“ (We Wish You a Merry Christmas) as part of our celebration.
