Unit of Inquiry: How We Express Ourselves (PYP info)

The K2 children will gradually start tuning into the new Unit of Inquiry How We Express Ourselves this week. Throughout the unit, they will be invited to learn about others' strengths as well as share their own, through multiple ways of expressing and "languages" such as art, music, drama etc. This process develops each child's expression of self as they develop a sense of ownership around how they communicate meaning to others.

If you would like to learn more along with some concrete examples of what the learning might look like, feel free to hear me walk through the unit in finer detail. It's a 3 min video and you may press the full screen button for a clearer view.

As we progress through Term 3, we are incredibly excited to encourage children to broaden their horizons and engage with new experiences and ideas through their interactions with others. We also welcome you to come in during Open Play to express yourself, this is a fantastic opportunity for children to see how people of all ages have their own interests and passions!
